Book Publisher Sites on the Internets World Wide Web

Many book publishers have established sites on the World Wide Web. Features offered on these Web sites change rapidly, but almost all offer some version of the following: a searchable online catalog, excerpts and summaries of new books, and promotional information on tours and interviews. Some sites feature additional online supplements to the traditional print book, such as study guides or data files (for scholarly texts). Several publisher Web pages are reviewed, taking into account general page design issues and usefulness of the information offered.
