Set-up involving electrodialysis for production of drinking-quality water from artesian waters with salt content up to 8 kg/m3 with productivity up to 1 m3/h

A model apparatus has been developed on the basis of the electrodialysis technique for the production of drinking-quality water from artesian and salty water mineralized up to 8 kg/m3, with productivity of up to 1.0 m3/h. The apparatus consists of a unit providing purification from iron, manganese and the disperse phase, the units of heat recuperation, ultraviolet disinfecting of water, electrodialysis desalination with reverse power supply, and the block providing the accumulation of purified water involving a pneumohydroaccumulator. Drinking water meeting the demands of European standards was produced from the artesian water in the Novosibirsk region with the help of these model devices.
