New Russian distillation installations equipped with horizontal tube sprayed bunches

Represented here is information about new Russian designs of the distillation freshening units (DFU) developed by the specialists of SverdNIIchimmash. Given here is a brief review of three versions of DFU furnished with film evaporators with horizontal tube bundles and brief descriptions and specifications. The review is made on the basis of the designs of the freshening complex operating in the set of a power complex with a gas turbine generator and a boiler recovering waste exhaust gases of the turbine, a distillation unit designed for atomic power units and a four-step freshening unit with mechanical compression of steam for making of fresh water of drinking quality and/or for replenishment of steam water cycles in steam and atomic power stations. Considered hear are ecological aspects of an operation of two different schemes of (chemical and thermal) desalination designed for preparation of desalted water for the needs of a large power station.
