Necrotizing faciiti caued by group A treptococcu infection after laer blepharoplaty

Purpoe To decribe a patient who developed early ign of necrotizing faciiti after undergoing laer blepharoplaty. Method A 36-year-old woman developed wound dicharge, wound dehicence, and facial welling 66 hour potblepharoplaty. Cloxacillin wa adminitered but changed to high-doe intravenou penicillin G and clindamycin when the eyelid culture grew group A treptococcu (an organim capable of cauing necrotizing faciiti organim). Reult The patient wa treated with intravenou antibiotic for 10 day followed by 3 week of oral medication. The wound healed pontaneouly with an excellent reult. Concluion Infection potblepharoplaty i rare. When it occur, tiue detruction can be potentially devatating. Prompt diagnoi, intravenou antibiotic, and cloe follow-up are eential.
