Examination of Patient With Cytoid Macular Edema Uing a canning Laer Ophthalmocope With Infrared Light

Purpoe: To report a noninvaive method for evaluating eye with cytoid macular edema. Method: We obtained infrared image of cytoid macular edema in eight eye of eight patient uing a canning laer ophthalmocope with the dark-field mode of a 780-nm diode laer. Difference between infrared image and fluorecein angiogram in the imaging of cytoid change were examined. Reult: With the canning laer ophthalmocope, we oberved cytoid macular change a image that reembled three-dimenional picture in the dark-field mode with infrared light. Cytoid change oberved by thi method generally agreed with change oberved by fluorecein angiography. Concluion: canning laer ophthalmocopy with infrared light in a dark-field mode i noninvaive, and the reult in eye with cytoid macular edema generally agreed with reult obtained by fluorecein angiography. Thi method i ueful for examining eye with cytoid macular edema.
