Patient with lichen planu and conjunctival immunopathologic feature of lupu erythematou

PURPOE: To report a cae of evere cicatricial conjunctiviti in a patient with lichen planu, which i known to affect the kin and mucou membrane. The conjunctival immunopathologic feature were conitent with lupu erythematou rather than with lichen planu. METHOD: Oral mucoal and kin biopie were performed with hitopathologic and immunofluorecent tudie conitent with lichen planu. The patient later had a biopy of cicatrized conjunctiva with hitopathologic and immunofluorecent finding conitent with lupu erythematou. Evaluation by rheumatology and dermatology conultant demontrated no evidence of active ytemic lupu erythematou or dicoid lupu erythematou. REULT: The patient wa treated with topical and ytemic immunouppreive and her dieae eventually tabilized. CONCLUION: The cae demontrate two coexiting autoimmune dieae entitie: lichen planu of the kin and oral mucoa and a cicatricial conjunctiviti conitent with lupu erythematou.
