PURPOE: The urgical treatment of evere teven-Johnon yndrome i conidered to be very difficult, epecially in children. However, ocular urface recontruction i poible in certain cae. METHOD: We have performed ocular urface recontruction by allogeneic corneal epithelial tem cell tranplantation in four children blinded by teven-Johnon yndrome. REULT: Two cae failed, and the other two had excellent reult. The ucceful cae had good lacrimal function and conjunctival epithelium, with clear corneal troma and pathology limited to the uperficial ocular tiue, wherea the failure did not. CONCLUION: The ucceful ocular urface recontruction ha been table for more than 1 year in two cae, uggeting that ome patient with teven-Johnon yndrome are very good candidate for ocular urface recontruction, epecially when the patient have good tear function and healthy conjunctival epithelium
