Combined intraepithelial quamou neoplaia and atypical fibroxanthoma of the cornea and limbu

PURPOE: To invetigate a cae of an unuual neoplam of the cornea and limbu. METHOD: A 59-year-old man preented with a highly vacularized, nodular ma involving the left cornea and limbu. An exciional biopy and, ubequently, a uperficial lamellar keratectomy and multiple conjunctival biopie were performed. At the 6-month follow-up examination, repeat conjunctival biopie were performed. REULT: Hitopathologic examination of the corneal pecimen howed a high-grade intraepithelial quamou neoplaia (in itu carcinoma) overlying an atypical fibroxanthoma. CONCLUION: We report the clinical and hitologic appearance of a corneal/limbal neoplam coniting of an intraepithelial quamou neoplaia and an atypical fibroxanthoma.
