Intracorneal hematoma in Mooren ulceration

PURPOE: To report a cae of intracorneal hematoma occurring in aociation with Mooren ulceration. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: In an 81-year-old man with bilateral Mooren ulceration, a dene intracorneal hemorrhage occurred in the right eye econdary to peripheral corneal neovacularization and wa followed by low reolution over a 3-year period. Following ubequent lamellar and penetrating keratoplaty, hitopathologic examination demontrated the aociation between the tromal neovacularization and the reidual interlamellar hemorrhage, a well a phagocytoi of reidual hemoiderin by macrophage. CONCLUION: Intracorneal hematoma with pontaneou reolution ha been documented clinically and hitopathologically in an eye with Mooren ulceration.
