Choroidal neovacularization with granulomatou inflammation in ocular hitoplamoi yndrome

PURPOE: To report pathologic examination of an excied choroidal neovacular membrane in a patient with ocular hitoplamoi yndrome that demontrated granulomatou inflammation. METHOD: Cae report. A 50-year-old woman with udden viion lo in her left eye demontrated clinical and fluorecein angiographic finding characteritic of choroidal neovacularization econdary to ocular hitoplamoi yndrome. REULT: Hitopathologic examination of the urgically excied choroidal neovacular membrane dicloed granulomatou inflammation. CONCLUION: Thi cae ugget an important role of mononuclear phagocytic cell a primary mediator of angiogenei or modifier of choroidal neovacularization. Thi aociation of choroidal neovacularization with granulomatou inflammation did not repond to treatment with ytemic corticoteroid.
