Acute annular outer retinopathy: report of four cae

PURPOE: To decribe the clinical finding and coure in four patient with acute annular outer retinopathy. METHOD: Four patient were evaluated during the coure of acute annular outer retinopathy, and the hitorical and clinical finding were retropectively collected. REULT: Four healthy patient developed the acute onet of viual field lo aociated with a localized, white annular outer retinopathy. All patient were caucaian; two were women, aged 29 and 32 year, and two were men, aged 71 and 79 year. The mean follow-up wa 3.9 year (range, 1 to 6 year). On preentation, four eye had an irregular, incomplete, peripapillary, annular band of gray-white, deep retinal opacification with viual Abtract CONCLUION: Thee four cae of acute annular outer retinopathy expand our knowledge of thi diorder. Acute annular outer retinopathy may be a ditinct entity or it may repreent a variant of acute zonal occult outer retinopathy. A more cae are recognized, the characteritic feature of the dieae pectrum, the etiology, and treatment option may be better elucidated.
