Abstract
PURPOE: To report the ucceful treatment of conjunctival manifetation of actinic prurigo with topical cycloporin.
METHOD: A 12-year-old female with extenive limbal leion and chronic conjunctiviti econdary to actinic prurigo wa treated with topical cycloporin, and a rapid clinical repone wa oberved.
REULT: The patient had the limbal leion urgically excied. The leion completely recurred over the firt 2 potoperative month. Treatment with topical teroid and vitamin A ointment wa unucceful. The patient wa then treated with cycloporine 2% drop and a dramatic improvement occurred. Over a 3-month period, the leion completely reolved.
CONCLUION: Cycloporine eyedrop may be an effective treatment for the conjunctival manifetation of actinic prurigo.
