Open retinotomy after ubmacular urgery

PURPOE: To report peritent open retinotomy after ubmacular urgery in patient with preumed ocular hitoplamoi. METHOD: Retropective review. Five eye of 5 patient with ubmacular choroidal neovacularization aociated with preumed ocular hitoplamoi had par plana vitrectomy, detachment of the poterior hyaloid, and urgical removal of the neovacular complex uing the mall retinotomy technique. All eye were followed potoperatively for a mean of 47 month (range, 36 to 73 month). REULT: In all 5 patient, the open retinotomy perited after ubmacular urgery. No complication were aociated with the preence of an open retinotomy. CONCLUION: Peritence of the retinotomy ite may occur after ubmacular urgery. With follow-up of at leat 36 month, no ignificant complication i aociated with an open retinotomy ite
