Ophthalmic manifetation of neonatal onet multiytem inflammatory dieae

PURPOE: To report the ophthalmic manifetation of neonatal onet multiytem inflammatory dieae, a recently recognized, rare ytemic diorder characterized by the triad of arthropathy, rah, and abnormal central nervou ytem development. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: A 2-year-old female with neonatal onet multiytem inflammatory dieae preented with viual acuity of fix and follow with each eye, bilateral optic nerve head pallor and glioi, a well a marked heathing of the peripapillary veel. No vitreou inflammation or macular edema wa found. Viual acuity wa table from the neonatal period through the 3 month of follow-up after the change involving the optic nerve head and peripapillary veel were oberved (a total of 33 month). CONCLUION: Thi report provide a decription of the ocular manifetation of neonatal onet multiytem inflammatory dieae and upport earlier uggetion that welling of the optic nerve head can occur. In thi cae, optic nerve head pallor may have been a equela of uch welling. The pathogenei of neonatal onet multiytem inflammatory dieae i unknown.
