Dilocated intraocular len fixation uing intraocular cowhitch knot

PURPOE: To decribe a technique for uturing a dilocated intraocular len (IOL) uing an intraocular cowhitch knot without IOL extraction. METHOD: Through the ideport of paracentei, a cowhitch knot i made outide of the anterior chamber by looping 10-0 Prolene around the haptic of the IOL. The knot i then tied in the anterior chamber by pulling up the uture. After repeating thi for the oppoite ide, the cowhitch knot are fixated to the ciliary ulcu. REULT: In 4 cae treated thi way, the IOL remained well poitioned. CONCLUION: Thi technique enable ecure fixation of the IOL haptic.
