A cae of multiple cleroi with granulomatou uveiti in Japan—ue of the antilipoarabinomannan (LAM)-B tet in differential diagnoi

PURPOE: To report a patient with multiple cleroi and aociated with granulomatou uveiti, and how anti-lipoarabinomannan (LAM)-B antibody can play a key role in differential diagnoi. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: A 35-year-old Japanee woman with multiple cleroi, diagnoed 3 year ago, preented with blurred viion in her left eye. Ophthalmological examination revealed granulomatou iridocycliti in her left eye and retinal periphlebiti in both eye. The diagnoi of tuberculoi wa upected becaue of a poitive tuberculin kin tet. However, a further examination by an anti-LAM-B antibody tet excluded active tuberculoi. Her clinical finding were thought mot likely to be caued by multiple cleroi and treated with corticoteroid. CONCLUION: We hould conider the poibility of multiple cleroi a the underlying origin in patient with granulomatou uveiti. A meaurement of anti-LAM-B antibody titer may be ueful in the differential diagnoi of granulomatou uveiti.
