Abstract
PURPOE: We tudied the reult obtained by repeated frequency doubling perimetry in patient with glaucoma and demontrated a learning effect.
METHOD: Propective obervational tudy. Thirty-three patient who had glaucoma and had never experienced frequency doubling perimetry participated in thi tudy. The patient were examined by frequency doubling perimetry three time within 6 month. Mean deviation, pattern tandard deviation, and intraocular preure at examination were compared among three reult.
REULT: On frequency doubling perimetry, the mean deviation reult of the firt, econd, and third tet were −7.96 dB, −7.29 dB, and −7.36 dB, repectively. The firt and econd reult and the firt and third reult were ignificantly different (P = 0.029 and P = 0.049, repectively). No ignificant difference with regard to pattern tandard deviation and intraocular preure were noted.
CONCLUION: A poitive learning effect wa found for frequency doubling perimetry in the firt and econd mean deviation reult of patient with glaucoma.
