Abstract
PURPOE: To alert ophthalmologit to the poibility of a pinal cord leion in individual with Horner yndrome and no neurologic ymptom.
DEIGN: Obervational cae report.
METHOD: Neuro-ophthalmic and neuroimaging aement of a 16-year-old man with an iolated Horner yndrome localizing to a firt- or econd-order neuron.
REULT: With magnetic reonance imaging, a yrinx of the cervical pinal cord extending from C5 to C7 wa found. No Chiari malformation wa preent.
CONCLUION: Patient with an iolated Horner yndrome localizing to a firt- or econd-order ympathetic neuron hould undergo magnetic reonance imaging of the head, neck, pinal cord, and chet to invetigate for poible origin. An iolated Horner yndrome may be the preenting manifetation of a cervical yrinx.
