Abstract
PURPOE: To determine the additive intraocular preure reduction of variou topical glaucoma agent ued adjunctively with latanoprot.
DEIGN: Retropective interventional cae erie.
METHOD: Retropective evaluation of 73 eye of 73 patient with glaucoma and inadequate intraocular preure control on latanoprot alone. Each patient received adjunctive treatment with an additional glaucoma agent (dorzolamide, brimonidine, timolol, or other β-blocker) for 1 year.
REULT: When added to latanoprot, dorzolamide lowered intraocular preure an additional 3.9 mm Hg (19.7%, P < .001); β-blocker further reduced intraocular preure by 2.0 mm Hg (12.3%, P < .001), and brimonidine further reduced intraocular preure by 2.0 mm Hg (9.3%, P = .0011). Dorzolamide doed twice or three time daily wa a effective a adjunctive therapy with latanoprot (P = .92).
CONCLUION: Adjunctive therapy with dorzolamide provided a tatitically ignificant intraocular preure reduction at 1 year in eye that were inadequately controlled with latanoprot alone.
