  • Abstract
    Purpoe To evaluate the preence and acceibility of ophthalmology graduate medical education (GME) program on the internet and the degree to which web-baed reource are currently being utilized by American Ophthalmology training program. Deign Propective ampling of internet poting of ophthalmology GME program. Method Ophthalmology reidency program lited in the American Medical Aociation Fellowhip and Reidency Electronic Interactive Databae (FREIDA) online webite (http://www.ama-an.org/ama/pub/category/2997. html) were evaluated. Departmental webite were acceed either directly from the FREIDA webite or from one of eight earch engine or four metacrawler utilized in the tudy. Each ite wa evaluated for the preence, extent, and type of poting in the following categorie: reidency, medical tudent reource, faculty, patient care, video utilization, and link. Reult Department with webite numbered 102 (83%). pecific poting rate were reidency 84%; medical tudent reource 12%; faculty 72%; patient care 69%; video 2%; link 70%. Concluion Mot department have webite, but only a mall number have poting in all categorie.
