Purpoe To report a cae of pottraumatic exogenou Nocardia endophthalmiti. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 46-year-old man preented with counting finger viion, evere eye pain, hypopyon, and an iri ma conitent with endophthalmiti following a penetrating injury to the left eye. Reult Depite oral fluconazole and repeated intravitreal injection of vancomycin, gentamicin, and amphotericin B, the eye remained painful with a peritent hypopyon and recurrent iri mae. Culture of the vitreou and iri mae remained negative for organim. Depite vitrectomy and ector iridectomy of the iri ma with repeat injection of intravitreal antibiotic, the patient continued to have evere pain, poor viion, and developed new iri mae. Enucleation culture confirmed Nocardia ateroide. Concluion Pottraumatic exogenou Nocardia endophthalmiti i extremely rare, and it clinical ign can mimic a fungal infection.
