A new, Non-contact wide field viewing ytem for vitreou urgery

Purpoe To report a new, noncontact wide field viewing ytem for vitreoretinal urgery. Deign Device decription: A noncontact wide field viewing ytem coniting of adjutable hinged arm and a combined condening len and reinverting prim ha been developed. The arm clamp onto the operating table or writ ret and hold the len ytem in the air above the eye. Method For vitreoretinal urgery, a new, relatively inexpenive noncontact wide field viewing ytem coniting of an adjutable hinged arm and a combined condening len and reinverting prim ha been developed. The combination condening len and reinverting prim i ued without a microcope–mounted inverter. The optical component may be terilized with ethylene oxide, peracetic acid, or glutaraldehyde. Other component may be team autoclaved. Reult The new, noncontact wide field viewing ytem ha been ued atifactorily in more than 200 vitrectomie at even medical center. It provide an excellent view of the vitreou and retina. Concluion A new, noncontact wide field viewing ytem for vitreoretinal urgery ha been developed with atifactory image quality and a field of view comparable to contemporary noncontact panoramic viewing ytem.
