Intruion of an encircling buckle after retinal detachment urgery

Purpoe To report a patient with intruion of the encircling buckle late potoperatively after urgical treatment of a rhegmatogenou retinal detachment. Deign Interventional cae report. Method We performed an encircling buckle procedure on a 77-year- old woman with a rhegmatogenou retinal detachment. Four year after the operation, the encircling buckle intruded into the vitreou cavity. Reult After 3 month of diagnoi of the intruion, the retina wa detached totally. Concluion Intruion of the encircling buckle without any additional egmental buckling element i a very rare late complication of retinal detachment urgery.
