Deign
Obervational cae erie.
Method
Record for a total of 220 eye of 139 patient with follow-up examination were examined. The age at operation v time to occurrence of bullou keratopathy after the original operation wa evaluated in four age group. Endothelial cell denity wa meaured in 11 long-term potoperative eye.
Reult
The mean time to development of bullou keratopathy after urgery wa 26.9 ± 8.8 year (mean ± D; N = 173 eye). The length of thi period wa not affected by the age of the patient at the time of the original urgery. Average endothelial cell denity in 11 eye of 11 patient 28.5 ± 3.7 year after urgery wa 639 ± 135 cell/mm2.
Concluion
Although ome cornea remained clear more than 26 year after anterior–poterior radial keratotomy, the rik of late corneal decompenation continue to exit for thee patient
