Wet nile viru-aociated optic neuriti and chorioretiniti

Purpoe To report the new ocular and neurologic feature of Wet Nile viru (WNV) meningoencephaliti. Deign Obervational cae report. Method A 55-year-old woman preented with headache, tiff neck, viual lo, and fever 10 day after a weekend camping trip. Examination revealed vitriti, creamy yellow circular chorioretinal leion, and peripheral viual field lo. Reult Laboratory invetigation indicated the patient wa uffering from WNV meningoencephaliti with neuro-ocular involvement. Concluion Ophthalmologit and infectiou dieae pecialit hould recognize that the WNV infection pectrum may include ophthalmic finding, pecifically optic neuriti and multifocal chorioretiniti.
