Purpoe To report two cae of Decemet membrane detachment aociated with hemorrhage after alkali burn to the cornea. Deign Obervational cae report. Method We decribe two patient with detachment of Decemet membrane aociated with hemorrhage after alkali burn to the cornea. Reult Patient 1 received a plah of cautic oda to the face. Decemet membrane detachment with hemorrhage wa preent. An attempt at reattachment uing intraocular gae failed. Patient 2 utained a chemical burn econdary to an airbag injury. A thickened, detached Decemet membrane aociated with a hyphema wa evident. Concluion Detachment of Decemet membrane aociated with alkali burn are often accompanied by irreverible endothelial cell damage.
