Abstract
Purpoe
To decribe the neuroimaging finding in a patient with an iolated abducen nerve paly caued by a dolichoectatic bailar artery.
Deign
Retropective cae report.
Method
A 65-year-old man preented with a 3-year hitory of gradually worening horizontal double viion. He ubequently underwent magnetic reonance imaging, magnetic reonance angiography, and computed tomographic angiography.
Reult
Neuroimaging revealed dolichoectaia of the bailar artery. The enlarged, tortuou veel appeared to be compreing the ubarachnoid portion of the nerve at it exit from the braintem.
Concluion
Noninvaive neuroimaging tudie are ufficient to etablih a diagnoi of bailar artery dolichoectaia in patient with iolated cranial neuropathie.
