  • Abstract
    Purpoe To report a cae of poterior capule opacification after cataract urgery due to len epithelial cell migration through the haptic root of a ingle-piece acrylic-foldable intraocular len. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 60-year-old man with enile cataract underwent phacoemulification and implantation of ingle-piece acrylic intraocular len having thick and wide haptic loop. Reult There were no operative or hort-term potoperative complication, and patientʹ viual acuity wa 20/20 on the day following urgery. At 19 month potoperatively, we oberved poterior capule opacity extending from the bae of the intraocular len loop. Concluion Broad and thick haptic root can be a path through which len epithelial cell migrate toward the center of the poterior capule, forming poterior capule opacification.
