Diagnoi by polymerae chain reaction of ocular pottranplant lymphoproliferative diorder after pediatric renal tranplantation

Purpoe To report diagnoi by polymerae chain reaction of intraocular pottranplant lymphoproliferative diorder in a pediatric renal tranplant patient. Deign Obervational cae report. Method Retropective review. Reult An 11-year-old girl developed infectiou mononucleoi 15 month after renal tranplantation for focal egmental cleroi. Papilliti and hypopyon uveiti developed 8 month later, followed by iri nodule. Diagnoi of intraocular pottranplant lymphoproliferative diorder wa made by polymerae chain reaction of aqueou humor for Eptein-Barr viru and confirmed by hitopathology of an iri biopy pecimen. Infiltrating iri lymphocyte in the biopy pecimen were poitive for Eptein-Barr DNA. Polymerae chain reaction alo revealed gene rearrangement of the variable region of the heavy immunoglobulin chain, conitent with a monoclonal B-lymphocyte population. Iri nodule reolved with reduction in immunouppreive medication. Concluion Polymerae chain reaction for Eptein-Barr viru may be helpful in diagnoi of intraocular pottranplant lymphoproliferative diorder.
