Botulinum toxin for the treatment of congenital entropion

Purpoe To decribe a cae of congenital entropion preenting with ulcerative keratiti that wa uccefully treated with a ingle injection of botulinum toxin. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 3-week-old female infant with a corneal ulcer of the left eye ince birth preented for evaluation. he wa found to have entropion of the left lower lid. The pretaral orbiculari mucle wa injected with 5 unit of botulinum toxin. Reult Four day after treatment, the entropion had reolved and the corneal epithelial defect had healed. There wa no recurrence of the entropion 7 month after botulinum toxin injection. Concluion Injection of botulinum toxin can effectively treat certain cae of congenital entropion.
