Abstract
Purpoe
To invetigate the involvement of the chemokine CXCL10/IP-10, CXCL11/I-TAC, CXCL8/1L-8, CXCL6/GCP-2, CCL3/MIP-1α, and CCL18/PARC, and gelatinae A and B in uveiti.
Deign
Propective, experimental, cae-control tudy.
Method
Aqueou humor ample from 30 patient with active uveiti, and 14 control patient and paired erum ample were aayed for chemokine with pecific enzyme-linked immunoorbent aay (ELIA) and for gelatinae level by quantitative zymography.
Reult
In control AH, none of the chemokine wa detected. Gelatinae A wa detected in all ample, and gelatinae B wa detected in only one ample. In patient with uveiti, IP-10 wa detected in all AH ample, wherea I-TAC, IL-8, GCP-2, MIP-1α, and PARC were detected in three, 16, ix, two, and 12 ample, repectively. IP-10 level were ignificantly higher in AH ample than thoe of erum (P = .006). Gelatinae A wa detected in 29 AH ample and gelatinae B wa detected in 26 ample. Gelatinae A level were ignificantly higher in AH ample from patient than thoe of control (P < .0001). In 11 AH ample, gelatinae B wa detected in complex with lipocalin (NGAL). Dieae activity correlated ignificantly with the level of IP-10 (r = .627; P < .0001), gelatinae A (r = .508; P = .002), gelatinae B (r = .685; P < .0001), and NGAL-gelatinae B complex (r = .595; P < .0001).
Concluion
Thee data ugget a pathogenic role of the T lymphocyte chemoattractant IP-10 and gelatinae in the recruitment and activity of T cell into the eye in patient with uveiti and in the pathogenei of uveiti.
