Purpoe To decribe congenital eyelid imbrication yndrome and it poible pathophyiology. Deign Clinical obervational cae report. Method A full-term newborn wa examined after a vaginal delivery and uneventful pregnancy. Reult The upper eyelid were overlapping the lower eyelid when the eye were cloed or when the newborn wa aleep. The upper eyelid reumed normal poition gradually over a week without cauing any ymptom or reidual equelae. Concluion Eyelid imbrication yndrome i a rare caue of congenital eyelid malpoition. It may be caued by inborn laxity of the upper medial and lateral canthal tendon that are tightened during the potnatal period, cauing reolution of thi condition
