Internal limiting membrane peeling uing triamcinolone acetonide: Hitopathologic confirmation

Purpoe To report hitopathologic confirmation of the internal limiting membrane (ILM) uing triamcinolone acetonide (TA). Deign Interventional cae report. Method One eye of one patient who underwent macular hole repair uing TA upenion to help viualize the internal limiting membrane (ILM). The pecimen wa ent to pathology. Reult Triamcinolone acetonide greatly improved the viualization of the ILM; the peeled area wa een a an area lacking white peck. The macular hole cloed with an improvement in viion. No advere effect were oberved during the follow-up period. The pecimen wa identified a ILM by hitopathologic examination. Concluion Peeling of the ILM i facilitated by the ue of TA. Microcopic confirmation of ILM wa made.
