Two cae of intraoperative anterior chamber angle obervation uing ophthalmic endocope in vicocanalotomy

Purpoe To report endocopic finding in the anterior chamber angle during injection of vicoelatic material in vicocanalotomy (VC). Deign Obervational cae report. Method Two cae of primary open-angle glaucoma were treated with VC and cataract urgery. Immediately before and during injection of vicoelatic material into chlemm’ canal, the anterior chamber angle wa oberved uing an ophthalmic endocope. Reult In both cae, we oberved vicoelatic material in chlemm’ canal and leakage of vicoelatic material and blood from chlemm’ canal into the anterior chamber away from the injection ite of the vicoelatic material. In one cae, indocyanine green-tained vicoelatic material wa not in chlemm’ canal the day after urgery. Concluion In VC, chlemm’ canal wa filled and wa dirupted after vicoelatic material injection. Diruption of the inner wall of chlemm’ canal and juxtacanalicular connective tiue may contribute to the intraocular preure reduction aociated with VC.
