Teting ditance tereoacuity with the Friby-Davi 2 (FD2) tet

Purpoe To develop a preentation protocol for the new Friby-Davi 2 (FD2) ditance tereoacuity tet. Deign Propective data collection. Method tereoacuity wa teted monocularly and binocularly in 95 patient with a variety of trabimic and nontrabimic condition, uing the FD2, employing a modified taircae procedure. The Prechool Randot tereoacuity tet and the near Friby tet were ued to determine whether a patient wa tereoblind. Reult Under monocular condition, 35 (37%) of 95 patient paed at leat the larget diparity of the FD2 indicating a problem with monocular cue. The binocular protocol wa then modified to include a monocular tet phae. Uing the new protocol, if a patient could achieve the ame tereoacuity under monocular and binocular condition, they were deemed to have no tereopi. Teting 28 additional tereoblind patient uing the new modified protocol revealed no fale poitive. Concluion The FD2 tereotet i a ueful meaure of ditance tereoacuity, provided the preentation protocol account for monocular cue.
