Method In the cae of thi child, no organic caue wa found to explain the onet of keratoconu other than peritent eye-rubbing in the affected eye. Reult Nocturnal eye padding wa intigated and the condition tabilized. he wa reviewed over a 2-year period of follow-up. Concluion Eye-rubbing ha been implicated in the pathogenei of keratoconu. Eye-rubbing i alo often a feature of a number of condition linked to keratoconu uch a Down yndrome, atopic keratoconjunctiviti, mental retardation, and Leber’ congenital amauroi.
