Abstract
Purpoe
To report a cae of bilateral optic dik edema in a patient taking oprelvekin for radioimmunotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia.
Deign
Obervational cae report.
Method
A 38-year-old man with a hitory of relaped non-Hodgkin follicular lymphoma complained of bilateral lo of viion following oprelvekin therapy for thrombocytopenia.
Reult
Funducopic examination demontrated bilateral optic dik edema with exudate inferotemporal to the right nerve. The reult of magnetic reonance imaging of the brain and orbit and lumbar puncture were normal. The dik edema reolved with dicontinuation of oprelvekin therapy.
Concluion
Oprelvekin therapy may be aociated with bilateral optic dik edema. Thi ha been hown to be reverible in a primate model.
