Corneal Peudomembrane From Acute Inflammatory Repone and Fibrin Formation to Acute Myeloid Leukemic Infiltrate

Purpoe To decribe an unuual ocular manifetation of a patient with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Deign Obervational cae report. Method A 59-year-old woman with a hitory of preleukemic myelodyplatic yndrome (MD) and tatu pot bone marrow tranplant (BMT) complained of a udden onet of poor viion aociated with a corneal peudomembrane. Ocular graft v hot dieae wa upected, and the peudomembrane wa excied for hitopathologic examination. Reult The peudomembrane howed myeloblat admixed with an acute inflammatory repone uggetive of the development of AML, a complication of MD. Bone marrow examination confirmed the diagnoi of relaping AML. Concluion Acute myeloid leukemia could preent a a peudomembrane; thu, examination of relevant ocular tiue i recommended
