Abstract
Purpoe
To report a novel, nonurgical method of management of orbito-palpebral cyt aociated with congenital microphthalmo.
Deign
Interventional cae erie.
Method
Two patient with orbito-palpebral cyt were included. Cae 1 had bilateral orbito-palpebral cyt, wherea cae 2 wa unilateral. Trancutaneou cyt apiration in both cae revealed a everely microphthalmic eye with no viual potential. Ethanolamine oleate clerotherapy wa performed immediately after cyt apiration in both patient.
Reult
Complete reolution of the orbito-palpebral cyt wa noted within 6 week, and the cutom prothei wa well retained.
Concluion
Ethanolamine oleate clerotherapy may be an effective minimal intervention treatment option for cometic rehabilitation of patient with orbito-palpebral cyt aociated with congenital microphthalmo with no viual potential.
