Ciliary Body Thickne Increae With Increaing Axial Myopia

Purpoe To ae the relationhip between ciliary body thickne and refractive error. Deign Propective obervational cae erie. Method We enrolled 75 eye of 75 patient with no hitory of intraocular urgery or ue of anti-glaucoma medication. Axial length wa meaured by A-can ultraonography. Ciliary body thickne (CBT) wa meaured by two maked oberver on radial-ection image of the temporal corneocleral limbu, acquired with ultraound biomicrocopy (UBM) at 2 and 3 mm poterior to the cleral pur (CBT2 and CBT3, repectively). Reult Refractive error wa inverely correlated with CBT2 and CBT3 (r = −.64 and r = −.52, P < .0001, repectively). Axial length wa correlated with CBT (r = .66 and r = .57, P < .0001, for CBT2 and CBT3, repectively). Concluion CBT increae with increaing myopia and axial length.
