Purpoe To report a cae of bilateral endogenou Phialemonium curvatum endophthalmiti, econdary to intrapenile injection for erectile dyfunction. Deign Obervational cae report. Method A 71-year-old man with P curvatum endocarditi and bilateral decreaed viion wa diagnoed a having bilateral endogenou endophthalmiti. P curvatum wa identified in culture that were performed on ample of the vitreou. Treatment conited of bilateral vitrectomy and intraocular and ytemic antifungal. Reult Depite reolution of the ytemic infection, the patient’ potoperative viual acuity remained limited to hand movement, and the ophthalmic clinical picture remained unchanged. Concluion P curvatum i a pathogen that can be readily iolated from the vitreou. The author are unaware of previou reported cae of ocular infection that wa caued by P curvatum.
