Anterior Lenticonu Detected by Wavefront Aberrometry

Purpoe To illutrate the utility of wavefront aberrometry in delineating a ubtle lenticular abnormality reponible for decreaed bet-corrected viual acuity in a patient. Deign Cae report. Method Clinical data, corneal topography, and wavefront aberrometry with eparation of corneal and lenticular component of the higher-order aberration are analyzed in a patient who preented for refractive urgery evaluation. Reult Clinical evaluation indicated that the caue of viual lo wa lenticular, and wavefront aberrometry indicated high negative pherical aberration, leading to the diagnoi of anterior lenticonu. Concluion Wavefront aberrometry ha an adjunctive and ditinctive role in the preoperative creening proce for refractive urgery candidate and in thoe with ubtle unexplained lo of bet-corrected viual acuity.
