Purpoe
To report a patient with corticoteroid dependent optic neuropathy treated with intravenou immunoglobulin (IVIg).

Reult
A 25-year-old woman developed bilateral viion lo with pain on eye movement in aociation with dik edema, dilated retinal vein, and hemorrhage. The viion improved markedly with prednione, but he required a minimum of 20 mg/d depite concomitant therapy with methotrexate, cycloporine, and/or mycophenolate mofetil. IVIg, 0.5 g/kg/d for 3 day each month with ubequent reduction in frequency, allowed dicontinuation of all immunouppreion.
Concluion
Corticoteroid dependent optic neuropathy wa uccefully treated with IVIg.
