Performing Vitreou Biopy by Perfluorocarbon-Perfued Vitrectomy

Purpoe To evaluate the afety and efficacy of perfluorocarbon-perfued vitrectomy (PCPV) a a novel technique in obtaining a large undiluted vitreou biopy. Deign Cro-ectional interventional tudy. Method Patient with undiagnoed poterior uveiti cheduled for vitreou biopy underwent PCPV. A yringe containing 5 ml of perfluorocarbon liquid (PCL) wa connected to the infuion line. Apiration of the central and uperior vitreou wa initiated with imultaneou infuion of the PCL. Reult Twenty eye of 20 patient were included in thi tudy. The mean ± D amount of PCL ued in each eye wa 4.50 ± 0.69 ml. The volume of vitreou ample obtained in each eye wa 2.25 ± 0.413 ml. No complication occurred. Concluion PCPV i a afe and effective method for obtaining large undiluted vitreou biopy.
