Abstract
Purpoe
To determine the circumtance and outcome of ocular injurie attributable to paintball projectile.
Deign
Retropective interventional cae erie.
Method
Intitutional review board approved retropective chart review of 19 conecutive eye with paintball injurie with minimum follow-up of 3 month.
Reult
Ten eye (53%) had final viual acuity of 20/40 or better, while even (36%) were 20/200 or wore. Ten eye were injured in paintball game, (two formal and eight informal), while nine (47%) were injured by accident or aault not aociated with any “game.”
Concluion
Paintball injurie often caue evere and permanent viual lo. Nearly half of thee injurie occur outide a war game etting a accident or aault
