Abstract
Purpoe
To preent the finding of climatic droplet keratopathy (CDK) that affect people of a rural area of the Argentine Patagonia.
Deign
Obervational cae erie.
Method
Five hundred eventy-even individual who live in ettlement and village in an inland area of the northwet Patagonia region in Argentina received a complete eye examination.
Reult
The mean age wa 36.02 year (r = 1.5 month to 89 year); 55.63% of the patient were female. The mean age of the 7.62% of the patient who had typical CDK wa 65.31 year (r = 42 to 89 year); 86.36% of the patient were male. Of 66 eye in 35 patient with CDK, 35 eye had peripheral hazine (grade 1); 23 eye had a band-haped hazine (grade 2), and 8 eye had the aggregate of yellow ubepithelial droplet (grade 3). Pinguecula, pterygium, cataract, and peudoexfoliation were frequent finding among patient with CDK.
Concluion
CDK i not infrequent among male adult in thi area of the Argentine Patagonia and may be everely handicapping.
