Method Twenty-two eye (15 patient) with aggreive poterior ROP underwent vitrectomy with or without len paring, becaue retinal photocoagulation failed to top progreion of fibrovacular proliferation, depite being performed early, denely, and with early retreatment. We aeed the tatu of retinal attachment and foveal formation ophthalmocopically and the preence or abence of fixation of viual behavior. Reult Follow-up ranged from ix to 12 month (mean, 9 month). ix eye (100%) in which a len-paring vitrectomy wa performed developed a large tractional retinal detachment. In contrat, the retina were completely reattached in 16 eye (100%) in which vitrectomy with lenectomy wa performed, nine eye (56%) had foveal configuration, and 14 eye (88%) had teady fixation.
