Abstract
Purpoe
To ae hort-term efficacy and afety of intravitreal bevacizumab injection for idiopathic choroidal neovacularization (CNV) refractory to poterior ubtenon triamcinolone injection.
Deign
Noncomparative, interventional cae erie.
Method
Intravitreal bevacizumab wa injected into 10 eye with idiopathic CNV in which poterior ubtenon triamcinolone injection were not efficaciou for more than three month. The main outcome meaure were change in bet-corrected viual acuity (BCVA), central retinal thickne (CRT), and fluorecein angiography finding before and after bevacizumab injection.
Reult
After treatment, the BCVA improvement at one month (P = .029) continued to three month (P = .003). CRT decreaed ignificantly (P < .001). Leakage from idiopathic CNV three month after treatment topped in even eye, decreaed in two, and continued in one. In one patient, conjunctival welling developed after the injection but reolved and did not recur after another injection. No other complication developed.
Concluion
Intravitreal bevacizumab improve BCVA in eye with idiopathic CNV refractory to triamcinolone.
