Influence of Ocular Hypotenive Eyedrop on Intraocular Preure Fluctuation With Potural Change in Eye With Normal-tenion Glaucoma

Purpoe To invetigate the effect of variou ocular hypotenive eyedrop on the intraocular preure (IOP) fluctuation caued by the potural change in patient with normal-tenion glaucoma (NTG). Deign Randomized croover ingle-blind tudy. Method Twenty-four eye of 24 newly diagnoed NTG patient were enrolled. One of the three eyedrop including timolol maleate, latanoprot, and brinzolamide wa randomly adminitered for one month. Each patient received all three eyedrop with a one-month wahout period between the drug. The IOP at baeline and after each treatment trial wa meaured in both itting and upine poition. Reult Compared with the baeline level, the magnitude of IOP elevation aociated with the potural change did not alter ignificantly by the application of any eyedrop (one-way repeated-meaure analyi of variance, P = .288). Concluion The mechanim of action underlying the IOP change with the potural change i different from the pharmacologic action of thee hypotenive agent.
