  • Abstract
Purpoe To report long-term reult of human preerved amniotic membrane tranplant (AMT) v conjunctival advancement for repair of late-onet glaucoma filtering bleb leakage. Deign Randomized, controlled trial (n = 30). Method Rate of bleb failure (reoperation for glaucoma or recurrent bleb leak) were compared. Reult Median follow-up wa 80 month. Final intraocular preure (IOP) wa 10.9 ± 0.9 mm Hg with AMT and 12.7 ± 1.3 mm Hg with conjunctival advancement (P = .28). The number of glaucoma medication and final viual acuitie were imilar between group. Bleb vacularity wa ignificantly le with AMT (P = .02). even failure occurred with AMT, four requiring reoperation for bleb leakage and three requiring reoperation for glaucoma. Four failure occurred with conjunctival advancement, one requiring reoperation for leakage and three requiring reoperation for glaucoma. Kaplan-Meier urvival curve were tatitically imilar between group, with a trend favoring conjunctival advancement (P = .44). Concluion Although prone to early releakage, AMT may be a uitable alternative to conjunctival advancement in the long-term.
